Audiences North East (ANE) have been commisioned to undertake audience research for one of the most historic theatres in the UK, Theatre Royal

ANE will produce three seasonal audience survey evaluation reports in Summer 2010, Autumn 2010 and Spring 2011. The survey results will come from face-to-face interviews carried out by ANE staff at five shows per evaluation and also through Theatre Royal giving the questionnaires to ticket-buyers at the Box Office and through the post. ANE have designed both questionnaires.

The core objectives of the evaluations are to investigate:

·      Audience satisfaction

·      Audience loyalty

·      Audience motivation

·      Marketing/communication methods

·      Audience profile

Extra objectives can be included on to each evaluation when needed.
