ENYAN has announced a new national campaign entitled 'Young Arts Leaders' which will raise the profile of, and support, the youth arts sector in the development of leadership skills, aspiration and potential of young people within the arts and cultural industries.
The network will be conducting research into this rapidly developing area of work over the next four months resulting in a downloadable publication which aims to provide clarity around existing programmes and models that promote such work.
The publication will make the case for the arts as an effective mechanism for developing leadership skills as well as encouraging young people to consider a career in the arts and cultural sector in the future.
If you are delivering, or have delivered, a project with young people that aims to develop leadership skills within the arts and cultural industries, ENYAN wants to hear from you.
Case studies from projects working with particularly 'at risk' groups of young people are encouraged. A select number of case studies will be included within the publication due for distribution in November but all of those submitted will also be uploaded onto the 'campaigns' section of the website at www.enyan.co.uk.
To submit your case study please email enyan2@artswork.org.uk to express your interest and you will be sent the case study template. Please do also email if you are interested in receiving the publication when it is complete or call 023 8063 0960.
