Arts Council England responds to the McIntosh Review

Monday 11 August, 2008

The recommendations principally concern Arts Council leadership; the organisation’s relationship with the arts sector; the importance of maintaining a national overview of all the organisations funded by ACE; and bringing more of an external perspective into the Arts Council's thinking and decision-making.

In his response, Alan Davey sets out how the Arts Council will address each recommendation, making clear the lessons they have learned and how they will be applied to future actions. Baroness McIntosh's full report follows Alan Davey's response.
