Minimal Spend Marketing: Ideas to Act Upon

Friday 28 May, 2010

Around forty arts marketing peeps in the north east benefited from a fun-packed workshop on Minimal Spend Marketing this week. We ran sessions in Middlesbrough and Newcastle with facilitation by the marvellous Lisa Baxter, who is an expert on creative idea generation (CIG). Lisa led participants, sometimes gently and sometimes firmly, through the creative maze, with the aim of sparking innovation in marketing. At a time when budgets are being cut and the outlook is perceived as being very gloomy, her positive approach was refreshing and inspiring. With balloons, bubbles and water pistols, we spend four hours honing hundreds of ideas down to four, and participants left with an action plan to implement an idea.
