ANE's second summer event took place on 1 July 2008 at The Alnwick Garden in Northumberland. In order to make the event as accessible as possible, a coach was hired, offering members free transportation from pick up points in Darlington,

Following the workshop, attendees were given a tour of the gardens and a free book. Many thanks to the team at the Alnwick Garden for their support in hosting this event and making it so enjoyable.
The event was popular and well received, with 68% of attendees rating the course as ‘good – excellent’ in terms of suiting their needs, presentation and standard of teaching. 73% rated the content as ‘good – excellent’, and 100% of respondents thought the venue and facilities were ‘good – excellent’.
